Highland Perthshire has an amazing choice of off-road routes for those who want to get off their feet and on to their mountain bikes. The Highland Perthshire Cycling Group, with support from a variety of sources, has produced a series of route cards, available as a set from a network of outlets of cycle friendly businesses, or for download as pdfs (click here for details of cycle friendly businesses).

The cards feature accessible routes, ranging from easy flat riverside paths to more challenging treks into the hills. They are ideal for families and visitors to the area who enjoy getting out on their bike, but may be unsure about where to start. Riders can be comfortable in the knowledge that relevant landowners have approved the routes as cycle trails, and provided they read and act on the information specific to each route regarding access, they will be welcomed as responsible cyclists.

And this is just the start... it's the group's intention to build up its stock of approved routes as time goes by. As this happens, off road enthusiasts will have even better opportunities to discover the joys of this fantastic part of the world, secure in the knowledge that a warm welcome awaits them.

To open a pdf version to print or download, just click on the route which is of interest to you.
